In a rare escapade, we rented some boots with a thin metal blade on the bottom and attempted to skate around on ice. I’m sure we looked ridiculous… but so did everybody else. Aside from the blisters on my ankles, I enjoyed every bit of it. Daddy & Lovey were Not. Too. Sure. 

Exactly 7 months after we brought Lily home, here we are together becoming a family in the eyes of the law.

Our joy in this moment is inexpressible… I love these pictures of us enjoying each other and celebrating togetherness.
